The Celebration of the Arts is a week-long celebration of the arts that occurs in the end of April every year, with two fantastic events as bookends. First, it’s Lewisburg’s largest and oldest festival, the Market Street Arts Festival held the last Saturday in April with 100’s of artists, a variety of live music, including a special music feature selected each year to headline the event, plus children’s events and great festival food.
The Lewisburg Arts Council is proud to announce the 2014 Featured Artist, John C. Sterling. John is a different kind of furniture maker. He believes your furniture should be a beautiful work of art that connects you to nature and to the future generations that will inherit your investment. Most of the wood he uses is harvested from sustainably managed Pennsylvania State forests. To find out more about him, visit his website at jcsterling.com.
The Celebration of the Arts is anchored by two main events:
The Arts Festival, Saturday, April 26th, 2014 – art, entertainment, and food all along Market Street
Lewisburg Live!, Saturday, May 10th, 2014 – 8-10 bands in venues throughout downtown
New in 2014: Caring for Communities Plein Air Painting, Sunday, April 27th
