Sounds Like Friday! Contra Dancing

Time:6:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m.

Location: North 2nd Street next to the Lewisburg Hotel.

Information: There will be a Free Community Street Dance on August 27, 2010 from 6:30-8:30 PM in Lewisburg, on North Second Street., between Market Street and Cherry Alley.

This is your chance to try contra dancing, an energetic, easy traditional social dance form that is sweeping the nation.

Contra dancing is rooted in English, Irish and Scottish reels, jigs and waltzes.

Live music will be provided by Total Hip Replacement and the caller will be Bruce Young from State College.

All dances are taught and called.

Newcomers of all ages are welcome, no partner needed.

If you can walk, you can Contra! Come see what all the fuss is about. Join the dance for an evening of wonderful music, movement and fun.
