The Lewisburg Contra Dance

Welcome the New Year with a Contra Dance! The Lewisburg Contra dance is January14, 7:00 –10:00p.m. at the Donald Heiter Community Center, 100N 5th Street. This dance features State College’s Bruce Young calling, and live music by Strath Hanna. Contra dances are easy and energetic. Each dance is walked through first and then called. A basic review begins at 7:00. No experience or partner needed; newcomers of all ages are always welcome. We strive to be inclusive, regardless of age, skill level, gender identity, cultural/national heritage. Wear comfortable clothes, and soft soled, non-marking shoes. Admission is $10.00 for adults; under 16 free; $5.00 for students with current ID. For everyone’s safety, because we dance together and indoors, proof of up-to-date Covid vaccination and a well-fitting KN95 mask are required.
