How Get Outdoors (GO) works: There are "markers" - wooden posts with an etched plate attached - that are hidden in various location sin seven counties: Adams (15 markers), Cumberland (15), Franklin (15), Lancaster (20), Lebanon (15), Union (9), and York (30). There are 113 hikes across the seven counties! After registering at your local library (more information below), participants follow clues in the guidebook (called a Sketchbook this year) to find these posts. The hikes are varying lengths and have various difficulty levels (indicated in the guidebook). When you find the marker, you'll see the etching plate with a 4-digit code on it. You can enter this code online using the Beanstack app to receive credit for that hike.
How to register at libraries: You'll need to have a library card to register for the hikes, which you can obtain by visiting any of the following county library system websites:
