Victorian Fairy Garden Party

The seventh annual Victorian Fairy Garden Party, a fundraiser for A Lewisburg Victorian Nutcracker, will be held on Saturday July 26, at 7:30pm. The enchanted evening will be held on the Great Lawn in front of the Greenspace Center at 815 Market St.

There is no admission fee to attend, but donations are appreciated and accepted!

In the spirit of the event we invite guests to wear either their very best summer attire, or Victorian or Fairy costumes. The 2025 party theme is "Acadian warrior/forest nymph," based on the full length ballet “Sylvia,” with music by Delibes. Prizes, which will be awarded to best costumes, include custom VFGP tea cups from Angela Mowrey Pottery and a VFGP signature scent created by Karmic Blends. 

A VFGP started as a fundraiser for our December performance of A Lewisburg Victorian Nutcracker, but we are also trying to create an enchanting summer evening full of activities and entertainment inspired by Victoriana and Fairy Couture for the community at large. It is also a great way to remind people that Nutcracker auditions are just around the corner —this year they are on August 23!  In addition to the evenings entertainments, a scavenger hunt through participating downtown Lewisburg stores will be held (7/19-noon 7/26). 

The party begins with a Grande Promenade led by the dancers, accompanied by violins from the Upper Strings Studio - St. John's School of the Arts, which allows the guest judges to decide on the winners of the costume contest. Next Strictly Ballet’s summer dancers perform. Then we unveil the magic drink and treats which guests can nibble on while enjoying the variety of activities including: Jen Plastini, tarot reader; Danielle Snyder, Floriography expert and maker of tussy mussies for guests to take home (Steins sponsors the flowers for the event); Eric’s photo booth; croquet and games on the lawn; Bluebird Atelier with an art project; a bedtime story with master storyteller Fiona Powell; and Plein Air painters Loanne Snavely and Elody Gyekis.
