Vendor Frequently Asked Questions

Planning to join us for an upcoming Lewisburg Downtown Partnership event? Below are answers to some of the questions we hear most often from vendors.

Search FAQ

Am I in? How does the application process work?

All vendor applications must be submitted through our official website, LewisburgPA.com, in the Events section:
View LDP Events
LDP does not accept vendor applications or payments through social media. Please be cautious of scams or individuals claiming to reserve vendor spaces through Facebook, Messenger, or other social media platforms.
Once we receive your application, our Vendor Relations team at [email protected] will review it and contact you to let you know whether your application has been approved or denied.
If approved, you will receive a link to pay for your vendor space.
Your space is not reserved or guaranteed until payment has been successfully processed.
Once payment is received, Vendor Relations will assign your space and provide your booth location prior to the event.

What time can I set up?

Setup times and load-in instructions will be communicated to approved vendors before each event.
We generally provide separate setup windows for food trucks and tent vendors. Food trucks are brought in first because they have specific directional and positioning requirements.
If you are a tent vendor and arrive during the designated food truck setup period, you may be asked to wait until food truck load-in is complete before entering the event area.
Please follow the setup time provided to you. This helps us keep traffic moving safely and makes setup easier for everyone.

When can I leave?

For pedestrian safety, vendor vehicles are not permitted to enter the event area until at least five minutes after the official event closing time.
Please do not begin vehicle load-out early, even if you have finished selling for the day. LDP staff will let vendors know when it is safe to bring vehicles into the event area.

Can a family member share my booth?

Possibly. Family members may be approved to share a booth on a case-by-case basis, particularly when the products being offered are closely related or represent different product lines within the same family business.
For example, we may allow related family vendors to operate together within a 10' × 20' space when their products complement one another.
However, two otherwise separate vendors may not purchase one larger booth simply to divide the cost between them.
Vendor participation fees help support Lewisburg Downtown Partnership, our events, and our nonprofit downtown revitalization work.
If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, please contact Vendor Relations before applying.

Do I need a Certificate of Insurance?

Yes, please.
Vendors should be prepared to provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) when requested by LDP.

Do I need to sign a contract with LDP?

No separate vendor contract is required.
However, by submitting an application, you acknowledge and agree to follow LDP's Event Policies as a condition of participating in the event.

Where should vendors park?

Free public parking is available throughout the Borough of Lewisburg.
Two convenient municipal parking lots are located:
  • Behind Bull Run Tap House
  • Behind Casa de Pizza
These municipal lots provide free parking and are within walking distance of the downtown event area.
Please remember that some parking spaces elsewhere downtown are metered.

How do Lewisburg's parking meters work?

Parking meters are in effect Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The meter rate is 25 cents for 45 minutes.
Parking lot meters accept quarters only, while street meters accept quarters, dimes, and nickels.
Street meters have a 3-hour limit, while parking lot meters have an 8-hour limit.
Vendors are responsible for following posted parking regulations.

What is the vendor refund policy?

Vendor fees help support Lewisburg Downtown Partnership's nonprofit programs and events and should be considered a commitment to participate once your space has been approved and paid for.
Vendor fees are generally nonrefundable. Any exceptions will be reviewed by LDP on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with the event's published policies.
Please review all event information carefully before submitting payment.

Can I play music at my booth?

Please do not play amplified music at your booth.
Many LDP events already include scheduled live music and entertainment. If individual vendors were also playing music throughout the event area, competing sound could quickly become distracting or unpleasant for attendees and neighboring vendors.
We appreciate your help keeping the event atmosphere enjoyable for everyone.

Should I advertise that I'm attending?

Absolutely!
We encourage vendors to tell their customers and followers that they'll be joining us in downtown Lewisburg.
If you're promoting your participation on Facebook, feel free to tag Lewisburg Downtown Partnership so we can see your post and potentially share it through our channels.
You can also contact [email protected] if you have promotional questions or materials you'd like us to be aware of.
The more everyone promotes the event, the more successful the day can be for all participating vendors.

Do I need to provide my tax information to LDP?

LDP does not collect your business tax information as part of the normal vendor application process.
However, vendors are responsible for ensuring that they are properly registered and compliant with all applicable local and state requirements.
Vendors doing business in the Borough should make sure they are appropriately registered with Berkheimer:
Visit Berkheimer
Borough staff may verify vendor registration or request applicable documentation during an event.

We're a nonprofit organization. Can we participate?

Yes! We love having community organizations participate in our events.
Nonprofit and community organizations should contact [email protected] to discuss participation opportunities and determine which option best fits the organization and event.

My business isn't a craft vendor. Can we still participate?

Yes.
Businesses that don't qualify as traditional craft or market vendors may be able to participate through one of our community sponsorship opportunities.
These opportunities allow businesses to have a presence at LDP events while directly supporting the event and our downtown revitalization mission.
Contact [email protected] for current sponsorship opportunities.

Where can I find LDP's full Event Policies?

All vendors are responsible for reviewing and following LDP's Event Policies before participating.
A link to the complete Event Policies will be added here.

What is Lewisburg Downtown Partnership?

Lewisburg Downtown Partnership (LDP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and supporting downtown Lewisburg.
Our work focuses on downtown revitalization, supporting local businesses, strengthening community connections, promoting Lewisburg as a destination, encouraging economic activity, and creating a welcoming and vibrant downtown for residents and visitors.
LDP works alongside merchants, property owners, community organizations, sponsors, volunteers, the Borough of Lewisburg, and other partners to help guide the continued growth and vitality of our downtown.

Why does LDP hold events?

We believe one hand raises the other.
Community events create opportunities for people to gather, explore downtown Lewisburg, discover local businesses, and build stronger connections with our community.
Events also help increase Lewisburg's visibility as a destination. Someone who visits downtown for a festival today may discover a restaurant, shop, or business that brings them back another weekend.
By creating reasons for people to visit and spend time downtown, LDP events support our broader mission of increasing foot traffic, strengthening our merchant community, and keeping downtown Lewisburg active and vibrant.
Our events aren't simply events for their own sake—they are one of the tools we use to support the long-term health of downtown Lewisburg.
